Calaveras Big Trees State Park is located off Highway 4 near Arnold, California within the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. I took my friend Barbara there for her 70th birthday. It had been a few years since we visited the park. It was a perfect day in November 2009, luckily with some fall colors lingering. When you visit these 3000 plus year old giants you don't really feel that old! :)
