2005 The Birds-Bodega Bay and Bodega : Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Birds" was partly filmed in Bodega Bay and near by Bodega. We ate at The Tides Restaurant, where scenes of the movie were shot. Other scenes were shot at Potter School in Bodega.

2005 Lassen National Park: Cindercone : Cindercone is a Volcano located near Butte Lake on the edge of Lassen NP. Marty hiked an 8 mile trail from the road to Cindercone, and Jenny and I drove 40 miles or so to pick him up on the other side of the park. Jenny and I hiked about 3-4 miles total, and due to dwindeling daylight, never reached the top of the volcano. It was still a great hike!
